Every time she came over, we either had to buy food, or I cook. Not once did she go into the kitchen.
Youโll stay over for 2-3 days. Iโll leave the house to get the ingredients. Iโll prepare everything, make the food and sheโll eat. Iโll do the dishes too after.
It was either that or I had to buy food that weโd eat. Not once did she offer to cook or make us a meal except that one time Iโd eaten and she made noodles for herself.
Happened 3 times and after the third time, I just let her go

Anyways, lessons. If thereโs a slight chance plans may change, always book a refundable or changeable flight ticket. I sometimes even add insurance. The extra is sometimes steep but worth it if you have to adjust.

Choice 1: Miss the Canada leg of the World Cup. And maybe a 5 - 10 yrs Canada visa entirely.
Choice 2: Miss the first 4/5 days of the World Cup, lose โฌ1500 other bookings you may have made, but gain a Canada visa and be able to travel across the host cities.
