It is with profound sadness that Fire Chief Dwayne Killingbeck announces the passing of Mark Nowlan, a former member of the Fredericton Fire Department.

Just after 11 a.m. the Fredericton Fire Department attended George Street Middle School to investigate the report of a fire in the cafeteria kitchen. On arrival firefighters indicated the fire was out. There are no injuries, and all students are safe.
