Inter Agency Training
Our #Volunteers were out yesterday participating in a multi-agency major emergency exercise on the outskirts of Waterford City. Our crews helped assess, triage and transport 48 patients from the scene over the course of the day.
Well done all.
This weekend we provided 24 hour Medical Cover at @KildareRelay. We also provided medical cover at Crinniú na nÓg Fest in Naas, Clongorey Walk and Barrow Dragon Regatta.We had members taking part in the National Radiation Monitoring Exercise & Misper Search course.
Delighted to assist with public safety during the visit of President Catherine Connolly to Achill Island RNLI today to celebrate 30 years of the lifeboat in Achill.

On Friday two of our search teams responded to assist a hiker who had been lost for a number of hours on the Slieve Blooms.
On Saturday several of our volunteers took part in a national radiation monitoring training exercise for the Environmental Protection Agency.
On Saturday morning, Civil Defence volunteers across the State, in cooperation with @EPAIreland, braved the rain to undertake a National Radiation Monitoring Exercise to asses both the effectiveness of the Radiation Monitoring Service and Civil Defence TETRA Radio Comms system.
On Saturday @CivilDefenceWD took part in a Major Incident Live Exercise, along with local Primary Response Agencies and other local organisations at Waterford Regional Airport Business Park. The focus was on improving coordinated local responses.
It was a busy Bank Holiday weekend for our volunteers providing medical cover at the @NightDayFest. A huge thank you to @civildmayo Civil Defence and @longfordcd Civil Defence for their assistance and support. Despite the busy weekend, a great time was had by all!
2nd event today was #MedicalSupport at the Polish Heritage Day and International Children's Day at the Polish school in #Cork.
Despite the rain, they had a great day, enjoyed by all. 🇵🇱 🇮🇪
