Episode 1 gave real insight into why Llwyn Celyn, and buildings like it, are so important & the vital work of @LandmarkTrust in giving them a new lease of life. As @AnnaLandmark put it, when we lose them, we also lose our ability to touch the lives and experience of our ancestors
πΊ The Β£4 Million Restoration: #HistoricHouseRescue returns to our screens this evening. Tune into More4 at 10pm to learn about Llwyn Celyn, our ambitious two-year restoration of one of Walesβ most important domestic buildings. βοΈ
Enjoying our stay at the former #church of St Michael & All Angels, Market Stainton. No longer used for regular worship, this beautiful church building has found a sustainable new use as #holidayaccommodation (1/2)
Conversion is sensitive & respectful of the historic fabric. Finding suitable new uses for church buildings is a complex process. To see this building returned to a good state of repair and in use once more is a joy (2/2)

First visit to @NTBeningbrough this weekend and it was glorious! The house was in fine form having recently reopened following a 2yr closure & a Β£2.3m revamp. The wood carving & the cantilevered staircase in this Grade I listed Baroque mansion are definitely worth seeing...(1/2)
Particularly enjoyed the collection of items found under the floor boards during the works, but I won't spoil that for you! The gardens were beautiful in the sunshine, looking forward to a repeat visit to see the new gallery space later in the year (2/2)
