A week ago, @Pittfurg gave a great presentation, Azure Networking for the Data Professional. This was especially helpful for DBAs like myself, who came up through their careers having others do the networking and now need to secure #AzureSQL databases.
A year or so ago, I was having a metaphysical debate on twitter, as to whether @psdbatools in a Month of Lunches, was really on my bookshelf. It sure is now. Thank you @cl & @sqldbawithbeard for starting this project and @ClaudioESSilva & @jpomfret for helping to drive it home.
The only thing I have found "good" about 2020, is that I can leave a conference in India #DPS2020, and go to a session in Birmingham, UK @MSDataGroupBrum, and back in the same afternoon.
After getting back to Bangalore #DPS2020/#DPS10, I had a great 1 on 1 Polybase/#PostgreSQL tutorial by @feaselkl. To the other attendees credit we did end at 12:30 AM Bangalore time.
Got my @stirtrek ticket. Now I can relax the rest of the afternoon. If any of my twitter followers are going to be there, ping me be happy to say Hi IRL.
Thank you @PragmaticWorks for hosting the #AzureDataWeek online conference. It is the best conference to which I have never gone. No travel, no hotels, if these get too much better, I may not be allowed to attend another physical conference again. 😉
Just uploaded my presentation for #SQLSatIndy. Thank you to all who honored me with your presence, and I hope you found the hour both fun, and worthwhile.
Thanks also to @hope_foley & @SQLMCT, and the rest of the @IndyPASS team for all the work to make it such a success.
Hoping next year is bigger for the community. Today, the selfish side of me enjoyed the rare opportunity for real interaction, presented by the smaller sessions. Thanks West Virginia Northern Community College for hosting. x.com/feaselkl/status/990344…
