Being this close and yet so far from the Christmas break is obscene. What on earth is this scheduling. Where do I send my complaints please.

Have been considering a switch for a long time and have just moved over to @NASUWT Frustrated at the lack of progress on issues like workload that totally control my life right now. Hoping for change.

William, duke of Normandy, defeated Harold II, king of the English, at the Battle of Hastings #OTD in 1066. Some surviving English leaders rallied around Edgar the Ætheling but it came to little. On Christmas Day, Ealdred, archbishop of York, crowned William king of England.

Inspired by #mhf23 - how do people record and evidence talk in the classroom? For those in schools where work in books is king!

Is there such a thing as a History teacher zoom network? I miss a community and shared strategies but small babies means getting to in person events is tricky #historyteaching #edutwitter #teacherparents

Discussion tonight with a tour company about the LUDICROUS rise in costs for trips. How are schools managing? I can't put these prices to parents, many already feeling the squeeze. But at the same time I know trips add so much to school life #edutwitter #historyteacher

History #Edutwitter - I'm putting together "History Mysteries" for an extra-curricular group. What are your favourites? Starting with the Tollund Man, Anna Anderson/Anastasia. I'd want to avoid the most gruesome as aiming to Y7!
