Copper at $13,540 a tonne. Up 40% in a year.
Korea is responding by mining cities instead of countries. POSCO extracts 2,700 tonnes of nickel, 800 tonnes of cobalt and 2,500 tonnes of lithium carbonate every year from 12,000 tonnes of waste batteries.
The world's biggest battery exporter is becoming its own mine.
