It’s 49 years ago today that @RayClem1 won his first European trophy with @LFC … his brilliant penalty save in the first leg at Anfield v Monchengladbach ensured a 3-2 aggregate win for the Reds …Thanks to @tphoto2005 for this brilliant photo that captures the moment perfectly
16/5/1987… the league title maybe gone but for @SpursOfficial there’s still the FA Cup final v Coventry City. Ex @LFC & @England number one @RayClem1 looks his usual immaculate relaxed self as he boards the team coach en route to his second home …Wembley Stadium!!!
A new banner was also paraded around the pitch ahead of kick-off by three goalkeepers from the Iron’s current Academy setup. It will take up a permanent location at the back of the East Stand alongside the Graham Taylor OBE tribute banner.

With today marking the one year anniversary of the sad passing of Ray Clemence MBE, Saturday’s home game against Salford City was used to remember and celebrate the life and achievements of the legendary goalkeeper and club Vice President 👉 scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news…
What a truly magnificent goalkeeper this man was …. A true legend on and off the field who will never be forgotten 🧤⚽️🧤@RayClem1@LFC@SpursOfficial & @England
In 1987 the two most naturally gifted goalkeepers of a generation were at @SpursOfficial !!!! Pat Jennings and @RayClem1 were consistently brilliant throughout my childhood years…. No fuss no histrionics just truly wonderful goalkeepers who made the job look oh so easy 🙌🏼⚽️
🙌 @JeffStelling,@ProstateUK and Ray Clemence's family have completed their 3rd Marathon! #JeffsMarch
They walked today in memory of Ray and many others who have sadly passed from prostate cancer.

It’s taken 73 years but @SpursOfficial have finally beaten @LFC at Anfield thanks largely to @RayClem, the former @England man is in truly magnificent form!! How refreshing it is to see an honest and jovial interview spoken from the heart and not from a pre arranged script
The League form of @SpursOfficial remains inconsistent the same cannot be said though of goalkeeper @RayClem1 .... since arriving from @LFC in 1981 the @England man has been a consistent performer and turned the north London outfit into a formidable force both at home & in Europe
13th Dec 1982... playing for @England was always something special for @SpursOfficial & ex @LFC goalkeeper @RayClem1..... the trademark smile says it all as he’s set to gain his 60th cap v Luxembourg at Wembley in 48 hours time.... a true patriot who never let his Country down
Not a great result for @SpursOfficial today but here’s goalkeeper @RayClem1 putting David Icke through his paces!! The ex @LFC & @england star shows Icke absolutely no mercy!!! Just couldn’t see this happening in today’s football mind you!!
