I'd love to hear @ThePersonPod reaction to this take
At least Allen Ginsberg got to see the best minds of his generation "destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked." I had to slowly watch the primarily oral culture of Youtube & podcasts set back serious theological/psychological/intellectual discussions a good thirty years.

4.4.26 Hamlet said earlier he was no achilles, yet he knows well Achilles in Iliad book 9. The math of souls spent for pitiful land is shocking to him.

4.4.45 this whole speech requires more focus than I have on this readthrough. Its an important turning point that I'm having trouble tracking in text. But this line about a quartered thought 3 parts coward 1 part wisdom is compelling. I want to return later to this

I wrote about the Pope and why Christian tech critics often have a more compelling response to the AI crisis than their secular counterparts. Simply, Christian writers aren't afraid of "human nature" talk, and they understand THE question of the AI Age is: what are people for? 🧵
Pope Leo and other Christian thinkers have captured the gravity of the AI revolution in a way that many secular thinkers have not, @Tyler_A_Harper argues. theatlantic.com/culture/2026…

How does a teenager from a nice family in Ohio end up charged with a third-degree felony for making terrorist threats? That’s the question that Angela and Marcus Reed* found themselves asking after their house was raided by the FBI. Their son Caleb had been plotting attacks on religious sites and was radicalized by jihadists through the messaging app Discord after converting to Islam. This is a story about what can drive a 14-year-old to plot a violent terror attack; who is to blame when he does; and what, if anything, a family can do to de-radicalize their son. *Angela, Marcus, and Caleb Reed’s names have been changed.
