Court Update: Our brave 11 environmental defenders have been granted a cash bail of Ugshs. 100,000 and these will commence their court trial on 8th April 2025. These have been on remand for over week at Luziira Maximum Prisons for peacefully protesting against EACOP at @EUinUG

🏔️At Haupapa/Tasman Glacier we showed helicopter tour pilots and passengers the impact of their luxury emissions on these breathtaking places. 🚁Helis emit 40-60 times more CO2 per hour than cars, accelerating global warming and ironically, melting the glaciers tourists visit.

The bad news, it will 🤮 produce a shit ton of air pollution - the equivalent CO2 emissions of 100,000 cars on the road each yr 🤮 create toxic emissions that create serious health risks 🤮 waste 2.5 MILLION litres of fresh water DAILY and burn 100 000 litres of diesel every yr

❌A cruise holiday is better for the environment than a holiday where you fly to your destination. ✔️Research continually shows that a cruise holiday produces 3-4 x the amount of emissions, even taking into account the overall holiday with accommodation, food, etc.
