In the last week, I joined many residents at Party in the Park and and the Great British food Festival. In Parliament, I raised residents' concerns about Thames Water, and led a debate on supporting secondary breast cancer patients. Here is what else I have done this week:

Yesterday, I led a debate on secondary breast cancer, highlighting the experiences of people living with the disease and what action was needed to support them. Secondary breast cancer is incurable, but that does not mean they're lives matter any less. Every moment counts. 1/6

Support for people with secondary breast cancer isn't good enough. Many don't have access to a Clinical Nurse Specialist, or don't receive enough mental health support. The Gov must deliver its promise that every cancer patient has access to a support worker or CNS. 5/6

I ended with 2 demands of the Gov: 1. Set out a timeline for delivering the National Cancer Plan commitments, and make data held by the National Disease registration public. 2. Support secondary breast cancer patients who may miss out on life-extending drugs due to pricing. 6/6

Reports that the Gov will slash the hospital rebuild programme to fund the Defence Investment Plan are deeply concerning. Both need urgent investment. I urged the Government to confirm both issues would be properly funded. The Defence Secretary's resignation seems to answer that.

Today, I had the privilege of sponsoring a Westminster Hall Debate on secondary breast cancer, with Labour MP Mary Kelly Foy. In the public gallery were representatives from Breast Cancer Now, Make 2nds Count and METUPUK, who do amazing work supporting people with the disease.

The Public Health & Prevention Minister, Sharon Hodgson, replied to the many issues raised by MPs today about the National Cancer Plan and secondary breast cancer. I hope the Government will now deliver for people with secondary breast cancer.

Residents in Wokingham are sick and tired of endless sewage spills by Thames Water. That's why I urged the Government to implement a mutually owned public benefit model for water companies, so customers and the environment are prioritised over lining stakeholder's pockets.

On Monday, I hosted an event with @BTHA to show Parliament that unsafe and illegal toys are entering the UK, endangering children and families. Every child deserves to be able to play safely, and that is why I called on the government to hold online marketplaces to account.

I hear from many in Wokingham who are struggling to manage with rising energy bills, and need extra support with everyday, essential energy costs. That's why I am proud to support the Liberal Democrat plan to cut energy bills by £100 for the average household in Wokingham.

I've been advocating for our local businesses this week, whether calling on the Government to tackle soaring energy bills or meeting to discuss their concerns. I also supported many charities across some fantastic fairs over the weekend. Here's what else I have done this week:

For too long, abusers have manipulated family courts to escape justice. Survivors and their families suffer as a result, many of whom my team and I have supported. I'm again pushing the government to ensure independent domestic violence advisors are key elements in family courts.

Dinton Pastures is a landmark of natural beauty here on our doorsteps. But, there are simply not enough benches for those who want to enjoy all it has to offer. That's why I'm calling for more opportunities for people to rest and take in the views of our fantastic local area.

This is absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the Labour Party. How can we trust Labour to get cancer policy right if this is how they treat their own councillors? It is clear where the Labour Government's priorities lie, such heartless mistreatment proves that.

On Saturday, members of local Hong Kong communities gathered at Reading Minister to mark the 37th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. It was a privilege to support those affected by these tragic events and members of the wider Hong Kong community to honour victims.

The Government is wrong to hand access to NHS data to a US tech giant. The Liberal Democrats have long opposed Palantir’s £330 million NHS contract, and ministers should end it. Instead, we should back British tech firms to build a UK alternative.

For local businesses wanting to manufacture their products entirely in the UK, like Surelock McGill, rising energy bills are causing a great deal of concern. Today, I asked what the Government is doing to support businesses manufacturing goods and contributing to our economy.
