Non League Day has been a hugely popular part of the football calendar since its creation in 2010. Held during the international break, when the top tiers pause for national team action, it allows the spotlight to fall on the clubs that form the foundation of English football. It’s a day that celebrates community, connection and the pure, unfiltered joy of proper football.
At Leatherhead FC, like many non league clubs, we’re powered by volunteers, supporters and local people who give their time and passion to keep the club thriving. Every pound spent at the turnstiles, in the tea bar or around the ground goes straight back into running the team and maintaining the facilities that serve our community all year round.
While we don’t have Premier League budgets, the drama, commitment and heart on display at Fetcham Grove are second to none. The matchday experience is where non league football truly shines: a 3pm kick off, affordable entry, and a warm welcome that makes you feel part of something real. Here, you’re not just a customer — you’re part of the club.
This year, National Non League Day carries even more meaning.
On Saturday 28 March, as we host AFC Portchester at Fetcham Grove, The Tanners proudly stand with Prostate Cancer UK, the official charity partner of Non League Day. It’s a cause that affects thousands of families every year, the most common cancer in men and early detection saves lives. Football brings people together and together, we can make a real impact.
Leatherhead FC will also be teaming up with The Prostate Project and hosting free prostate cancer testing, offering local men a quick, confidential check that could save a life.
