A high school coach once asked me why one of his players wasn't getting recruiting attention.
My first question was simple:
"What's his HUDL link?"
The response:
"We don't have one yet. He's still working on it."
That answer told me everything.
College coaches can't recruit a player they can't evaluate.
And once they do click on your film, you have a short window to hold their attention.
The best plays need to be first.
Speed. Explosion. Range. Savvy.
Whatever separates you from the crowd needs to show up early and often.
The video needs to be organized.
No film = no evaluation.
Poorly organized film = coaches move on.
Your highlight tape is often your first impression.
Make it count.

This was my brother! Since birth we have been on the same team, same church, & had the same dream! Since Daycare Shep aka Smiley was the youngest of our trio but he was the biggest! His big heart was his greatest asset! His passing left a huge hole in my life! I love you Shep

We have lost a true servant to Plano ISD. Hendrick MS Coach Darron Sheppard passed suddenly yesterday. His impact on students, staff, and the community will not be forgotten. We offer our most sincere condolences and prayers to his family during this difficult time.
