I just wanted to take a moment to highlight my brother and one of my best friends —
@grant_mccarty .
For as long as I can remember, my brother has been a genius. School always came easy to him, but it was never just about intellect. He’s always been one of the hardest workers I know. Whether it was academics, sports, speech and debate, or launching businesses — Grant gave his all, and it always showed.
Growing up, we bumped heads pretty often. But looking back, most of those moments came from him wanting what was best for me. He pushed me, challenged me, and inspired me — especially through his work ethic. I saw how driven he was in everything he did, especially baseball. Deep down, I think he pushed himself so hard because he saw the challenges I faced — and he wanted to make the most of every opportunity, not just for himself but for both of us.
The reason I’m writing this is simple: to give honor where honor is due. I appreciate you so much, Grant.
These last seven years, I’ve watched you grow in so many ways. You graduated college with your bachelor’s in two years, earned your master’s from Johns Hopkins two years later, won a few entrepreneurial awards, and started multiple companies. In 2020, you went all-in on the world of Bitcoin and crypto — and even Co-Founded
@bitcoinpolicy with one of your best friends 2021. And while I still don’t fully understand the crypto world (😂), what I do know is you’re making a real difference — not just for the crypto space, but for the world.
Recently, the Genius Act passed, and I believe you and BPI have a lot to do with bringing awareness of the benefits of having Bitcoin in the U.S. economy. That’s major.
So here’s to you, bro. I’m proud to be your brother! I’m honored to witness your journey firsthand. Keep making an impact. Keep pushing boundaries. Keep being you.
And most of all — I pray you get to know Jesus in a deeper way. That’s the greatest gift there is.
Much love,
Your brother
