What I’ve been saying all night. This play isn’t that hard to understand.
Here’s my question on this play:
We have all these rules for what constitutes a catch: Must make a football move, must survive the ground, must take a third step, etc.
In this instance, if the Denver defender didn’t come up with the ball and it ended up the ground instead, it would have pretty clearly been ruled incomplete, not a fumble.
Right?

If the WR goes and fights for the ball he has a better chance of catching it or getting the PI called. Fading away from the ball doesn’t show the refs you are being interfered with. Fight for the ball.
