(1/2) @AmericanAir is being dishonest as to why they have been canceling flights over this past week. Mass cancellations are not due to winter storm Fern but because of technology issues. This article is exactly what flight attendants at TPA are saying viewfromthewing.com/flight-a…

I will never fly with AMERICAN AIRLINES again! This has been the worst experience I ever had flying!

If other airlines can do a hell of a lot better than American with way less flight cancellations, this tells us a lot about what is really happening here: incompetent management, being covered over by the excuse of weather. All those customers told to go pay for their own hotels are not paying for an act of God: they are paying for flying with an airline inflicted with a management crisis, that in many cases, is using the weather as a way of shielding itself from liability for sheer mismanagement.
Breaking: American Airlines is offering flight attendants double pay to work Wednesday as the airline struggles with more than 10,000 cancellations from the storm. Pilots are being offered 5 hours of extra pay. AA has cancelled 8% of flights tomorrow and has lost $150-200 million

You don't understand. These delays were not weather related. The airplanes were broken or took several hours to fix. Look at the number of cancelations of just American Airlines. No other airline is having these problems.

OK, as I spend the night in JFK airport, let me get something off my chest: stranded in New York for 3 nights and @AmericanAir will not provide a hotel voucher, so I'm over 700 dollars out of pocket. Why not? Because they're coding crew and maintenance issues as "weather-related." I just found out a guy headed for Argentina got a hotel voucher because his flight cancellation was coded as "crew-related." My flight to Madrid was cancelled due to the captain not showing up and it was coded "weather-related" - so dozens of passengers were left to fend for themselves. Had this crew issue been coded as.. yes, you guessed, as a crew issue, vouchers would have been issued. Not acceptable, American.

Another cancelled @AmericanAir flight and they refuse to put me on another airline to get me home any earlier because this is "due to weather". So i have to spend 16 more hours in the Miami airport. Awful customer service. I'm miserable.

American Airlines is on the brink of a full-blown meltdown with nearly 1,300 cancellations today. That’s more than the rest of the entire U.S. airline industry … combined. Another 1,000 delays, too. These disruptions will almost certainly drag on for days.

(1/3) It won’t matter because I don’t have any followers, but @AmericanAir is such a joke. Weather affected every airline in the US, but only #AmericanAirlines is incompetent to the point they had to cancel over 40% of all their flights today, and this is after they cancelled our

Someone should initiate a class action lawsuit against American Airlines for what they are doing to travelers in Dallas Fort Worth today. Clearly other airlines are leaving that airport. They have people sitting around for 12 hours dangling a carrot they never Intend to deliver.

Do not fly @AmericanAir. They will do everything in their power to make your trip as awful and as long as possible. > Delayed flights with no compensation > Crews not showing up throwing off entire cross country itineraries > Flights cancelled for no reason > Will not put you up for accomodation if they make you miss a connection and there are no other same day flights available > Customer service who barely speak English who you will spend hours waiting to speak to. They are prolifically bad. Don't use them. At this point, I would even recommend going Frontier over American. American cares more about stock buybacks than they do about delivering the product you paid for.
