The thing I wish my 14-year-old self knew earlier. I made everything bigger than it was. (This is a life lesson, too) Every at-bat felt like the whole season was on the line. Game 7 of the World Series with 50k people watching. And that's the thing that beat me. Not the pitcher. That exact feeling. Self-imposed pressure. You make it up in your head. The pitch is the only real thing in front of you. One pitch. Simple, focused. Everything else, let it go. It's this pitch. Then the next one. Just like you're in the backyard with the boys, where nothing exists but the ball coming in. Not thinking about girls. The chores you gotta do. What's for dinner. Compete like crazy on that one pitch. Give it everything you've got. Just don't drag a hundred things into the box that don't need to be there. One pitch. The only real thing. Win it, then go win the next one. That's the advice I've sent to hitters that struggle with the same thing, and it's worked really well.

Why is Good Body Language Important?? Listen to Jose Rijo-Berger talk about a player who got an offer on the game he went 0-4 and not the tournament he went 20-28🤯🗣️ #the108way

THE DESTINATION IS IMPORTANT. BUT IT’S THE JOURNEY THAT MATTERS. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Reflective and appreciative. The plays. The people. The highs. The lows. The work. The moments in between. That’s where the magic resides. For a Pittsburgh kid who loves football, a dream came true. Eli - you earned the right to earn a spot. Now go get it. - Love Mom & Dad

That jersey was worn before you. It’ll be worn after you. Your only job? Make the next person proud to put it on.

Hitting is hard! Props to great coaches that recognize & reward good AB’s, good approach, and great swings… even when the results aren’t always showing up on paper.

Defense made it tough, but the O had the final word! Walk-off win for the offense to close out the spring season. See you August 27th Wildcat Nation!

1991 Chicago Bulls lifting on game day 😤 Back when most thought it was crazy. The Bulls knew better: morning weights kept them strong, physical, and fresh through the long season playoffs. MJ & Scottie didn’t skip it. Neither should you. In-season lifting = non-negotiable

Heartwarming: When Dan Orlovsky's autistic son, Madden, joined NFL Live and made everyone on set cry while highlighting Autism Awareness Day with his drawings. You can just see how proud Dan is of his son. What a special moment captured 🥹❤️

Could not agree more. Kids want to compete, explore, and be around their friends in different environments. Adults are usually the ones pushing specialization. Be very wary of anyone who claims to have all the answers and insists that playing one sport year round is the only path.

Why do players think if they go D2/D3/NAIA they will get on the field quickly🤣 It is incredibly hard to go start over a 4th year senior who has the playbook memorized. As a matter of fact - as someone who played D1, D2, and D3 - there ON AVERAGE were 1-2 True Freshman (out of 30 ) who even got a FEW snaps on special teams......... Do not be misled, CFB is tough at any level
