First and foremost, I give all honor, glory, and praise to God for this incredible opportunity and blessing. I am humbled and excited to be named the Principal of Columbia Early College Middle/High School. As I reflect on this journey, I am grateful for the lessons learned throughout my eight years in education, including two years as an Administrative Intern, and one year as an Assistant Principal. Just thinking of how fast things have moved in preparation of this moment blows my mind. Each experience has helped shape me into the leader I am today. I want to sincerely thank every Principal, Assistant Principal, Superintendent, County Office Staff member, Teacher, and Support staff member at Riverside High School, Riverside Middle School, and Martin County High School that I have worked alongside and for. Your mentorship, guidance, encouragement, and investment in me have played a significant role in my growth, and I am forever grateful. To every student that I taught, and every athlete I have had the privilege of coaching—including our conference championship track and field teams, our girls and boys basketball players, our cross-country runners, and especially the two state champion track and field athletes I was blessed to work with-thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journeys. You taught me just as much as I ever taught you. The expectation doesn’t change. Keep the standard where it is, push yourself higher, and GO BE GREAT! A special thank you to the current staff and administration of Martin County High School for an amazing year and a half. Your support, teamwork, and commitment to students made this chapter one I will always cherish. To my family, I greatly appreciate your consistent support, encouragement, push, and every thing you’ve done great and small to make this moment possible. I am incredibly excited to officially begin this new chapter as Principal of Columbia Early College Middle/High School. I want the students, staff, families, and community to know that they will get every ounce of effort I have as we work together to ELEVATE our school, young people, and community. I look forward to building relationships, celebrating successes, and creating opportunities that will positively impact the lives of our students for years to come.
