Hill City Crash 6’3 2027 Zion Martin (Virginia Episcopal) is quick and rangy attacking off the bounce with dynamic high flying finishes mixed in with smooth shooting jumpers from all areas. He has the ability to play slow to fast and uses in and out dribbles and quick crossovers combined with a blow by burst when attacking off the dribble. He can turn the corner on you in a flash and attacks the basket with a vengeance often finishing with highlight reel worthy slams! In addition to his explosive leaping ability he’s a crafty finisher with shifty footwork and a nice touch on non dunk finishes. Zion can explode from a standstill and can get to the rim with few strides and great quickness off the bounce. He also does a nice job getting into pockets in the defense and ending the drive with a nicely executed and highly efficient dribble pull-up. His ability to stop on a dime into the dribble pull-up is just as eye popping as his blow by ability off the dribble and his explosive leaping ability. Excellent body control, nice use of his length and his great quickness makes him a difficult player to contain as he works off the dribble. Hill City 15U’s shifty point guard Kam Waller (5’11 2029 Virginia Episcopal) has a quick handle and shifty footwork, plays off hesitations nicely and attacks the rim relentlessly both as a scorer and a passer. He’s able to change directions abruptly, uses timely and quick bursts to keep defenders off balance and is an elusive and manipulative playmaker. Excellent passer who uses his ability to draw defenders to him to create for offers. Kam can get into pockets in the defense where he uses runners and floaters to score over length showing a brilliant touch, his dribble pull-up is textbook! He keeps defenders on their heels with his ability to get into the paint regularly as a scorer and a passer. Off the ball he’s a threat with catch and shoot jumpers from all levels. His skill level, athleticism and playmaking savvy makes him an exciting prospect and he should eventually become one of the top playmakers in the very competitive and talented VISAA! #BigShots #RichmondSpringLiveOpen @BigShotsToday @BigShotsGlobal
