Professionalism in coaching is becoming a lost art. If you commit to a jamboree don't back out last minute after schedules go out because you as HC can't attend (let an assistant learn!) or because you "need more practice" So many don't realize the organizational skills. 💬

Wingate Smith has been named the next athletics director at Mount Tabor. Smith has been a coach and assistant AD the last several years at @RRHSAthletics.
He succeeds Patrick Cromwell, who is stepping down at the end of the school year.

Call me old school, but it just doesn’t sit right with me watching high school teams seasons come to an end and not even hours later, players from losing team posting pics of themselves or their in-game highlights from said loss on social media.

I agree, this is wild. Never seen a collegiate athletic department who is D1 do this. Increasing App alum in YC department and targeting alum who are 21-41 should be something to do. I have thought and stated this for at least 10 years.....but alas it isn't. Only the big donors.

Each year as I have another revolution around the sun, I get less and less communication from YC. Guess my contribution as an educator isn't enough. Granted if they tapped the 21-41 age alum market and got $100 from even 1,000 alum in that age range...every bit helps....
