It's easy to acknowledge and accept that we don't control events. It's harder to admit the same is true for outcomes.
We want to believe that, with the right response, we can control the outcome. We can engineer it, command it, or force it.
But if that were true, what would your life look like right now? If you had control of outcomes, wouldn't things be different?
That's the first lesson of E R=O. That's always the first lesson, no matter the audience. Before the skills, strategies, and techniques. Before the examples and applications.
You must accept the fixed truth of the physics of E R=O.
You don't control events. You don't control outcomes.
You control your response.
You can earn outcomes you desire. But you can't control them.
