Which begs the question: Why aren't we playing more small ball? Leadoff hitter on base = bunt or hit and run, instead of K, pop-up or double play. Play for 1 run an inning, get it in half the innings, we win a LOT more! .@Evan_P_Grant

When Rangers score at least 4 runs, they are 16-4 this season, were 81-23 last year. T8th best winning percentage in those games.
They are scoring four or more in 44% of their games this season.

Best thing about this drill: the Power Step. You cannot generate force or power without stepping HARD into the ground inside the framework of the runner.
Try easing into the ground—you can’t!
Why don’t we emphasize this step in other tackling drills? Instead we teach chopping or buzzing our feet parallel?
Emphasizing this step in all contact drills is a critical coaching point that cannot be overlooked!!!

Even though there are some things I would stress, teach and set up differently. This drill is 100% better than almost every drill I've seen on here in last 2 weeks.
You can still practice being physical with & without pads & helmets. This beats rolling around with bags, diving at tackle wheels & certainly better than live 3 on 1 tackling drills!!

Great point by .@FB_FilmAnalysis about rotating from MOFC to MOFO. Swipe concepts away from the rotations can really confuse QB's. Can also manipulate protections by spying the RB.

Great drill for ILB's to learn to leverage the ball, and fit correctly. Also, you can work same foot / same shoulder strike point without a lot of impact. Added a great conditioning drill below to work inside-out leverage on ball carrier. .@prizmaticusa always has great drills

Love it. Will get BOB vs this front. If you spy the RB with the Edges you get 2 for 1 with the OT kick. G-C-G have interior 3 and loop can beat it. Allows you to play 2-Man concepts in back end. Inside pressure keeps QB from climbing pocket, no step into throw. .@The_Coach_A

Cool way to relate to the back in 6-0 with 2 Man behind it. 7ts are tied to the back, and have flare control and can take him if he is up in the down. Wrinkle rather then just having a regular 2nd level defender take him.

Source confirms that North Texas is expected to hire Corey Jordan as cornerback coach. A former #txhsfb coach in the DFW area, Jordan joins UNT from UTSA where he served as DPP and safeties coach.
