My standards for college athletes I’ve also seen similar numbers lowered for high school by .25 which I’m on board with Somewhere between my standards and .25 less is a good range
What is a good squat for a high school lineman? Powerclean? Bench? What about skill kids?

Game Speed/Change of Direction Ability- Curved Sprinting, Elastic/“Bouncy” Plyos, & Foot/Ankle Resiliency⚡️ Working not only on single leg elastic power, but also working on foot/ankle strength, and finding inside/outside edges of feet, which acts as phenomenal movement prep for any change of direction, especially curved sprint work! 1️⃣ S.L Lateral/Medial Line Hops 2️⃣ S.L “Zig Zag” Leaps 3️⃣ Curved Run Decel 4️⃣ Curved Run “Shuttle” Decel ✅Curved Run, Wide Base Crossover Stop, to Curved Re-Acceleration) Super easy movement series that only requires a few lines and a few cones, but once athletes are done with the hops/leaps, their bodies should be primed for more effective curved speed work👌

*Change of Direction Speed for 🏈* Here’s a look at a change of direction progression we used during our most recent Saturday 🏈 speed session that addressed the ability to BREAK, PLANT, and ultimately SEPARATE (B.P.S), which is critical for getting a step or two on your opponent⚡️ 1️⃣ High Knee to “Decel” Lunge Stick 2️⃣ 1-2 “Break-Plant” Stick w/ Rings 3️⃣ Band Accelerated 1-2 “Break-Plant” Stick 4️⃣ “Load” Lunge to Lunge 90 Degree Acceleration 5️⃣ 1-2 “Break-Plant” Stick to Full B.P.S, 90 Degree Acceleration Going from slow to fast and simple to complex with this progression…gradually adding layers of speed/intensity to the movement depending on how the athletes are mastering the movements!  No need to rush through this if athletes are struggling with one of the earlier progressions! Practice makes perfect with stuff like this👌  @Tony_Villani_ gets all the credit for these drills/progressions…go check out his gamespeed curriculum if you’re serious about becoming a better mover/athlete!
