Spurs just ran zone on the Thunder in OT and won the game but AAU coaches are ruining kids by playing zone? HS basketball just desperately needs new evaluators. They don’t want to do the work of scouting through a zone. That’s an evaluator problem not a defense problem

There is no better development for a kid than LIVE GAME REPS!!!!!!
I don’t care what level of AAU that they play. Just get as many reps as you can.
Training and skill work cannot replace the value of an ACTUAL GAME!!
Stop trying to recreate the ecosystem.
