Been a hot second since posting on here but I’m looking for my next adventure and would love to get back to the LTAD/S&C world. Let me know if you know of anything or if you’re willing to share this with your network, that would be awesome #opentowork#edtech#youthsport
#LTAD Thread: This weekend my daughter became independent skiing. This process has been a fun case study for creating joy around an activity and how to curate an intro to a sport experience. Our 3 rules:
- we are kind to each other
- we try our best
- we have fun

Anyone can request a break or dictate a break if these aren’t being met. We talk about examples of meeting/not meeting each. There are only positive vibes. At the end of the day we debrief w/ stuff like this. This is what LTAD is all about! 2/2 #youthsport#physicalsctivity#PE

Been a minute! Here to share a cool project I’ve been working on with an awesome organization. I am on the board for this youth sport organization and we are starting up a podcast. Check out our first episode! @rihoward41@Joe_Eisenmann@IdahoYouthSport@ltadnetwork@jamesbaker_8
@AlaskaAir forces me to gate check my ski boot bag, then damages my ski helmet to the point it isn’t safe, tells me it takes 4-6 weeks to be reviewed but may be denied b/c I reported it 48 hours after landing instead of 24 b/c I just opened the bag & they will only reimburse 1/2
me a max $100 (if approved through this review process) because I don’t have the receipt of the helmet I bought 5 years ago. Such frustrating/bad policy 2/2 @AlaskaAir#customerservice101#youbrokeityoubuyit
Notice no sports skills here. Not because the didn’t work on them today. Just that for this age group (5-9), these coordinators abilities and perceptual motor skills are equally, if not more, important @241Sports#physicalliteracy#physicaleducation#LTAD
We hope this is a model that others will find a way to emulate. #WalkTheTalk
We feel very confident that about our capacity to deliver quality programming, but if that programming is only available to those who can "afford" it - is it special or is it exclusive?
Excited to kick off this two day, Fall Break @241Sports camp tomorrow! What excites me most is the “pay what you can model” of this camp. To make true impact and change in youth sport we need to remove the financial barrier that often exists #LTAD#youthsport#physicalliteracy
