Trump told Iran’s repressed democracy activists that “help is on the way.” Then he started a war that fortified the IRGC and hardliners. Now he is prepared to release billions in Iranian assets to strengthen the regime further — and he deports a female Iranian rights activist to a war-ravaged African country.
The Trump administration has deported an Iranian pro-democracy activist to the Central African Republic, a "super dangerous" transfer to a country with which the activist has no connection. trib.al/iqNIaLf

Those people in the Trump administration most against “DEI hires”, that is, the ones who are racist, are the ones typically most unqualified for their positions. It’s painfully ironic.

For decades, Dan Patrick has sold out the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable to enrich his donors. Love feels like blasphemy when you worship power.
Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick says James Talarico is “going to Hell”: “I’ve never seen so much blasphemy from anyone running for office… He’s going to Hell, for sure.”

During the campaign, Trump asked African American people “what do you have to lose”. Well how about black history and their accomplishments. SMH.
Yeah. Gotta make sure those minorities aren’t recognized for their contributions to the country.

• A permanent and immediate cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon. • The United States and its allies would be required to present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion. • A U.S. commitment not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and to respect the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran. • Full lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days. • A U.S. commitment to withdraw its forces from areas surrounding Iran. • Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under arrangements determined by Iran. • Suspension of sanctions on the sale of oil, petrochemical products, and related derivatives, along with full Iranian access to the resulting financial revenues. • A 60-day negotiation period aimed at reaching a final agreement covering nuclear issues and the complete removal of U.S. primary and secondary sanctions, as well as the repeal of relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the IAEA Board of Governors. • Reaffirmation by Iran of its commitment under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) not to produce nuclear weapons. • During the negotiation period, the United States would commit not to deploy additional forces to the region and not to impose any new sanctions. • The release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets during the 60-day final negotiation period. Half of this amount must be made available to Iran before negotiations begin. • Establishment of a monitoring mechanism to oversee implementation of the agreement. • The final agreement would be approved through a UN Security Council resolution. • Final negotiations would not begin before the release of half of Iran’s frozen assets, the suspension of oil sanctions, and the lifting of the naval blockade. • The final agreement would focus exclusively on the future of enriched nuclear material and uranium enrichment, sanctions relief, and a program for rebuilding Iran’s economy. Discussion of Iran’s missile program and its support for resistance groups would be definitively excluded from the agenda.
Iran’s Mehr news agency publishes the purported text of the draft agreement with Trump. It will keep the Strait of Hormuz under Iranian control, will promise Iran $300 billion in reconstruction money in addition to an immediate cash transfer of $24 billion, a suspension of sanctions and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the Middle East. Also, a commitment not to bother Iran again about its missiles and proxies, and restraining Israel in Lebanon. The U.S. gets in exchange a pinky promise to respect the NPT. Let’s see what happens in coming days. Link: mehrnews.com/news/6857718 Full text: A permanent and immediate cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon. This is what my general election opponent thinks counts as "leadership" in Texas. The Texas Railroad Commission is a complex regulatory agency tasked with fixing our power grid, preventing toxic chemical leaks, and managing our state's water supply. It requires data-driven, serious management. Instead, Bo French uses his platform to fuel toxic division and stoke religious bigotry. Even top leaders in his own party have condemned this exact post and called for his resignation. Texas is an energy superpower. We deserve an experienced mechanical engineer on the job, not an internet troll who puts party politics and hate above the public.

Don’t let him fool you. Greg Abbott built this. He expanded the incentives that brought data centers flooding into Texas and let them grow for years with no guardrails and no say for the communities living next to them — and never once worried about it. Now it’s an election year, and suddenly he “cares.” Read the letter: he’ll regulate the water, the noise, the wires — everything except whether your town gets to say no. The word never appears. Here’s the real tell: he only started paying attention when he thought he might lose us. That’s how much the rural vote is worth. Don’t let him manipulate us into thanking him for a problem he created. Local control was never on the table. Again. #txlege #ruraltx
