53 Years Ago On This Day In Pro Wrestling History, November 26th, 1972 Phil Golden's All Star Wrestling presented this card at the Bellarmine College Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. Phil Golden was the brother of Roy Welch's son in law, Bill Golden. Don & Roy "Big Mouth" Bass with mgr Maw Bass in a wire cage against Mike Pappas & Pepe Lopez. This was probably a really hot match. The Von Brauners with Saul Weingeroff, Angelo Poffo and more....pretty loaded for this group who were just getting going. Gulas-Welch and this Golden Group were my first exposure to wrestling and caused me to be a wrestling fan 53 years later. I wish this group had lasted longer, they folded at the end of 1974 but would be the blue print for Angelo Poffo's ICW in just four years after that.
