Cull Is Stronger Than You Think πŸ“ˆ Cull currently holds a very high 1.43 WPA for Bot Laners, often used as a first base fallback when getting a lead in lane isn't possible. Is it that good for sitting and scaling, or could there be more spots for it? πŸ€”

Hail Of Blades Viego Is OP? πŸ“ˆ Viego has quietly remained the strongest Hail of Blades user since its 26.9 rework. His standard Conqueror bruiser build remains reliable, but his HoB Crit build gives him far greater burst, allowing him to delete carries and secure faster resets. Dirk > Collector > Shieldbow > IE > LDR. Due to his Q & R both scaling from Crit, he spikes much harder at fourth item hitting 100% Crit which he wouldn't usually with Kraken first. LDR can be bought earlier where needed vs. heavy armor comps. The setup slightly shifts Viego towards a more assassin-like playstyle - snowball your lead, hunt carries and use the first reset to take over the fight. It performs best into squishy teams or comps that deny Viego the extended fights Conqueror prefers. Full rune page below πŸ‘‡

Mandate Nami Is DEAD! ❌ More than two weeks after its rework, Nami players are still rushing Imperial Mandate despite it sitting at a very low -0.95 WPA across 135k buys. Though also nerfed, Echoes of Helia seems to now be her strongest first item - holding a 1.91 WPA after a reliable 38k buys. Staff of Flowing Water is also a powerful rush, with an even larger 3.21 WPA after 12k buys. However, this is best used with an AP Carry, especially when your team has other AP champs. Her Support Quest upgrade also deserves more thought. Dream Maker remains a perfectly reasonable default, but Solstice Sleigh’s 1.56 WPA suggests it may be considerably underused. Past her first item, Nami's build becomes very situational. Items such as Ardent, Shurelya's and Mikael's all excel in the correct spots. Interestingly, though often rushed, Moonstone jumps from a -0.40 WPA to 0.07 WPA between 2nd and 3rd item slots. How long do you think it will take Nami players to stop defaulting to Mandate?

Do NOT Autopilot Your Builds! πŸ“‰ These items all have over 1 million buys this patch & below a -0.30 WPA, a strong sign they are being overbought. Some may be situational and players are buying them in the wrong spots, such as Thornmail when another teammate can apply Grevious Wounds more effectively or Zhonyas against specific counters like Cait trap. However, many of these items often have stronger alternatives but are being bought without thought such as Blackfire over Ludens or Umbral Glaive over Hubris. Further examples of potentially overbought items include Eclipse (-0.45 WPA after 891k buys) or Rapid Firecannon (-0.57 WPA after 800k Buys). Negative WPA does not automatically make an item bad, but these numbers show why your build choices should be responses to game states rather than always being the same.

Solstice Sleigh On Enchanters πŸ“ˆ Solstice Sleigh has remained the Highest WPA Support Quest Item for a long time with its Most Frequent Users holding strong stats. However, both before and after the Dream Maker nerfs, several enchanters have presented even stronger stats despite relatively low buy counts. Nami players appear to be the only enchanter group beginning to recognise its strength, although Dream Maker remains her most popular upgrade. Sleigh's passive grants Bonus Health and MS to both the user and their most wounded nearby ally after slowing or immobilising an enemy. Most enchanters can easily trigger this, providing extra survivability alongside stronger kiting back and gap-closing potential. We’ve also seen promising results on mage supports, including Brand at 2.64 WPA across 5k buys and Swain at 1.58 WPA across 38k. Should Solstice Sleigh be considered more often on non-tank supports?

Upgraded Boots (Mid Quest) πŸ“Š Armored Advance stands well above the other Tier 3 Boots at 2.25 WPA across 569k buys, consistent with the strength already seen in Plated Steelcaps. Immortal Path previously held around 0.70 WPA, but has fallen to 0.22 following the 26.10 nerfs. A large decrease, however they still seem like a good choice. Bottom of the bunch is Chainlaced Crushers, despite being the third most bought they currently sit at -0.17 WPA. Note: These figures reflect the overall WPA of each boot choice on Mid, not the isolated impact of receiving the upgrade upon quest completion. Does any of this data surprise you or is this what you were expecting?

Endless Hunger - Best Users πŸ“Š Since its 26.9 buffs, Endless Hunger has maintained a strong WPA - but it may still be underbought on some of its top users. Master Yi ( 1.83 WPA) and Tryndamere ( 1.13 WPA) stand out in particular, despite combining for just 35k purchases. We also found interesting data for Gangplank ( 0.55 WPA, 3k buys) and Jayce ( 0.31 WPA, 4k buys). While small sample sizes, the item likely has its spots for them. Is Endless Hunger balanced or does it need some changes?

Ahri WPA Build Stats πŸ“Š Ahri is the highest pick rate mid laner, but her most popular setup might not be the best... Across her core setup, less-picked alternatives with strong sample sizes are presenting higher WPA. The standout is Lich Bane as a 2nd item. After its 26.10 AP Ratio & MS buffs, it's looking like the better alternative over Shadowflame & Rocketbelt. We also noticed Malignance’s WPA rises heavily when paired with Lich Bane 2nd, suggesting it could be a much stronger choice when paired up. Boots follow a similar pattern too: Sorc Shoes: -0.48 WPA over 258k buys Ionian Boots: 0.97 WPA over 136k buys Merc Treads: 0.46 WPA over 54k buys As always, builds should be game dependent & situational - but are Ahri players frequently losing to shopkeeper?

Shiv vs. Kraken - Kai'Sa 🏹 Shiv has consistently held a higher WPA than Kraken as a first item on Kai'Sa across recent patches, however is picked less often. After Shiv’s recent 5 AD buff, the WPA gap has grown even wider - but the pick rate has barely shifted. Are Kai'Sa players losing to shopkeeper?

Imperial Mandate - Early Insights (26.11) πŸ“Š Mandate was reworked this patch, shifting away from its old enchanter identity into a cheap damage amp for champions with immobilising abilities. Its passive now provides 15 AH for immobilising abilities and marks immobilised enemies to take 6% increased damage for 4 seconds. The biggest loser so far appears to be former core user Nami, with Mandate on her dropping from 0.16 WPA last patch to -0.75 WPA on 26.11 - while still being her most bought item. Meanwhile, early stats are showing some unexpected potential users including Shaco, Zoe and Lissandra. Though we usually say 5k buys is a strong enough sample size for reliability, these champs can make strong use of the new passive and low cost so they are worth watching. We’ve also seen pros testing it mid, with Showmaker picking up wins using it on Galio and Taliyah yesterday. Which champions do you think could be strong with new Mandate?
