Homelessness became a problem mostly when we started calling it "homelessness." We used to call people bums, winos and dregs when we saw someone inebriated and living on the street. Though a little crude, it rightly identified something thing the individual is doing within their lives that is causing their plight. The onus was primarily on them to get better. Society can help but they need be the lead in fixing their problems.
Unfortunately, we sanitized the problem with "homeless." Then it became primarily society's problem. They were just "home" "less." They aren't to blame, they're a victim. If only society would provide them a home, then everything would be just peachy. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are trying to fix the wrong problem and this is by design. The NGO fraudsters that make millions off of human misery never want the problem ever to be fixed. So they have us trying to fix something that isn't the real issue. All while they rake in billions.
