ANNOUNCEMENT The Toledo Museum of Art @ToledoMuseum partners with Yatreda ያጥሬዳ to develop an immersive exhibition surrounding one of Ethiopia's most iconic rituals: House of Yatreda. House of Yatreda will be part of TMA's upcoming exhibition Ethiopia at the Crossroads, placing Yatreda's motion portrait artwork alongside beloved artifacts spanning 1700 years of Ethiopia's rich history, culture and artistic traditions. The immersive experience includes live performances which will be activated several times throughout the exhibition period. The Yatreda collective has been appointed as TMA Labs' 2024 Digital Artist in Residence, and will also mentor Ohio-based artist Jordan Buschur @jordan_buschur in the Web3 environment, fostering community engagement and promoting cross-cultural understanding. It was quite special to have our works on display in the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in the Vatican’s conference room mere moments after a session of the United Nations along with @mcsikic @Innamodja @ekaitza_ @agoriamusic @fahadfalls @CodeGreen_nft 🪽

1/ Whatever our beliefs and faith, spending three days at the Vatican meeting Cardinal Turkson, president of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences; staying at the @VillaMedicis, an iconic place of artistic creation for three centuries, was so much an honor. Truly! It was quite impressive to sit in the Vatican's conference room just minutes after the United Nations to discuss the potential commitments we could contribute to. A huge kudos to @Innamodja and @mcsikic successfully managing a very diverse casting, for sparking the momentum that can sometimes be lacking in groups. A tremendous pleasure to meet @professorNFT @bygrida @herminebourdin @ekaitza_ @liamscully01 @ARTGIRLS8 @FoesselPauline @stefan_contiero @VBonapace What a year 🧬
