Apple's #WWDC mainly seemed to be about tweaks to changes we didn't want in the first place. And Siri becomes a voice front end for Google AI. Or did I miss something big?

I'm happy with the Apple equipment I already have. I wonder if anything will be announced on Monday that will make me want to buy it.

I've always been interested in morse code but I could never find a way to remember the codes as my memory has never been great. By random chance of a Youtube mention I tried morse.withgoogle.com/learn/ Wow, this is doing the trick! They provide words whose syllable count helps in remembering the number of codes to use, and visualization to remember what the codes are. I already know: A . _ E . I . . M _ _ O _ _ _ S . . . And that's off the top of my head!

It's been a looong week. I worked on projects for multiple clients and put several changes into production including a rebuild of a web application. 🫠 Some weekend time is looking good!

I haven’t needed to use ssh tunneling with a database before. SQLPro Studio works great with it!

Grok just found a bug in my code that's difficult to see. While the syntax is valid and it runs fine, one SQL parameter reference was incorrect so it was never finding the matching row. Eyeballing it, it just never popped out.

In case you're interested, I had Copilot look for some rules and regs. It then listed some it said it found. I asked for a link so I could have the source location. It said it didn't have a source. So I asked if it made it up and it said it did and apologized. If I could reach through the screen and unplug it I would.
I'm never using Microsoft Copilot again. Even after telling it to report its accuracy percentage for each response, it will still give a high value even when it's flat-out lying. You have to specifically tell it for each question "don't make anything up, tell me when you don't know something". What a poor product!

I wonder how many people found learning HTML tags easy because they were familiar with WordPerfect's reveal codes. I know I did. 😉

I've been playing with it some more. When it runs out of battery, it just falls to the ground. Since it's so light there's been no damage when it hits grass. But good luck on a hard surface. It might last 10 minutes on a charge, but that depends on motor speed, camera use, and fighting any wind. I'm going to tape an Airtag to it in case it drops while over the woods. Otherwise it's impossible to find with its black color. Regardless, this is a fun little drone for the money!
I've tried difference drones before, and they've ended up frustrating me. I decided to try again, this time with the Holy Stone HS110D FPV RC Drone. It's $30 on Amazon at the moment. You'll need 4 AA batteries for the controller otherwise it has everything else. What I like about this drone is the display that shows you all of its current settings. The control has trim buttons so when you take off and it drifts you can adjust it to stay in one place. I also like that it has a "headless" mode. In "normal" mode pressing the stick to go, for example, forward makes it go only in the direction its front camera is facing. But in headless mode pressing forward makes it go away from you no matter which direction the camera faces. This is very helpful for a beginner like me!
