If youโ€™ve ever worked in a role that didnโ€™t fully match your goals โ€” what did you do? Did you stay for experience or move on early? Would love to hear your perspective ๐Ÿ™Œ #CareerAdvice #BuildInPublic #DevJourney

For now, Iโ€™ll keep learning โ€” both to handle pressure better and understand real-world codebases. Iโ€™m also learning teamwork, debugging large systems, and project collaboration. Every experience adds something ๐Ÿ’ช #BuildInPublic #Mindset #WebDev

Itโ€™s only been about 1.5 weeks, but Iโ€™m trying to figure out whatโ€™s best for me: ๐Ÿ‘‰ Continue this internship for the experience ๐Ÿ‘‰ Or shift back to backend projects that align with my long-term goals #CareerAdvice #DevJourney

Iโ€™ve been inactive for a while because I recently started my first internship ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป The past week and a half has been all about understanding the codebase, database & project structure. Itโ€™s been exciting โ€” but also a bit confusing. #BuildInPublic #DevJourney

If youโ€™ve ever been in a similar situation โ€” working on something different from what you expected โ€” how did you handle it? Would love to hear advice from devs whoโ€™ve gone through this kind of early-career confusion ๐Ÿ™ #BuildInPublic #DevJourney #CareerAdvice

Now Iโ€™m at a crossroads: โžก๏ธ Should I stick around for a full week & talk to HR about switching to backend work? โžก๏ธ Or move on early if itโ€™s not aligned with my goals? Itโ€™s scary because this is my first internship, and I donโ€™t want to waste time either. ๐Ÿ˜” #CareerAdvice #Intern

I havenโ€™t written much code yet โ€” just setup the environment, connected my Shopify Partner account & explored the codebase. But honestly, Iโ€™m not enjoying it much. Iโ€™m more interested in backend development, not Shopify/Liquid frontend work. ๐Ÿ˜• #BuildInPublic #DevJourney

Most of my work so far is around Shopify app development โ€” using Remix, Liquid & MongoDB for custom features/widgets. The main backend (PostgreSQL) is handled by another developer, and the codebase feels pretty advanced right now. #Internship #WebDev

๐Ÿงต Feeling stuck & a bit confused in my first internship โ€” need some advice ๐Ÿ™ Just started a 6-month developer internship (โ‚น10K/month, possible full-time later). Thought itโ€™d be backend-focused (Node.js, Express, DBs)โ€ฆ but itโ€™s turning out very different. #DevJourney

A backend engineer can never be a frontend engineer but a frontend engineer can easily be a backend engineer, it's only truth.

Lesson: itโ€™s not just about knowing the syntax, but understanding why a tech is chosen. Postgres = advanced SQL DB (schemas, joins, strong consistency). NoSQL = flexible, unstructured, scalable (e.g. MongoDB). Next goal โ†’ focus more on the โ€œwhy.โ€ ๐Ÿš€ #BackendDev #Interviews

The last 2 days I was busy giving interviews ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป They went well, but I struggled with some โ€œwhyโ€ questions โ€” like: ๐Ÿ‘‰ Why use PostgreSQL instead of SQL? ๐Ÿ‘‰ SQL vs NoSQL โ€” why choose one over the other? I knew what they are, but not why we use them ๐Ÿค” #DevJourney #BuildInPublic

Starting a new learning track today ๐Ÿ“š Focused on Redis, PostgreSQL basics, and Prisma. Kicked things off with Redis ๐ŸŸฅ โ€” just getting started with the fundamentals. Excited to see how it all connects to backend projects ๐Ÿš€ #BuildInPublic #BackendDev #DevJourney

Hereโ€™s the GitHub repo if youโ€™d like to check it out ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ”— github.com/TirthWillLearn/Reโ€ฆ Still backend-only (no frontend yet), but open for feedback ๐Ÿ™Œ #OpenSource #BackendDev #DevJourney

I wasnโ€™t inactive these last few days ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป Built a mini backend-only project using WebSockets for realtime communication โšก Also learned Prisma for database management ๐Ÿ“Š GitHub repo:github.com/TirthWillLearn/Reโ€ฆ #BuildInPublic #BackendDev #WebSockets

Since Iโ€™m not building a frontend, Iโ€™ll create a special GET route ๐Ÿ“œ This will return all available routes JSON examples (what data to send). A simple way for users to know how to use the API ๐Ÿš€ #BuildInPublic #BackendDev #API

Thinking of deploying my project in a serverless way โ˜๏ธ Plan: keep it on Render, but also try AWS Lambda for serverless setup ๐Ÿš€ Will be fun to explore both approaches. #Serverless #AWS #BackendDev

Planning to integrate Redis into my project soon ๐ŸŸฅ Itโ€™ll help with caching & speed. Also considering WebSockets later ๐Ÿ‘€ Excited to make the backend more powerful ๐Ÿ’ป #Redis #BackendDev #BuildInPublic

Iโ€™ve been learning & building in backend development (Node.js, Express, SQL/MongoDB, Docker, AWS). Now starting the job hunt ๐Ÿš€ If you have advice on navigating todayโ€™s job market or know good resources โ†’ Iโ€™d love to hear ๐Ÿ™Œ #OpenToWork #BackendDev
