The Code Writer v4.0 beta is now being deployed to anyone signed up on our beta tester list. It might take a few hours for it to be published to you. You can check your version from the Help tab. If you see v4.0 listed, click the Release History link to see all the new features.

The beta flight is now officially in the publishing phase according to the Store. It should appear for any beta testers within the next few hours.

Great news, we're getting close to finishing off Code Writer v4.0! The new version has tons of new features like massive editor performance increases, better scrolling, zooming, multiple carets, and much more. We are going to be looking for beta testers. Please DM us to sign up.

Thank you to our wonderful users, who are always very supportive. We continue seeing upticks in app usage, especially with the release of the new Windows 10 version. Now seeing 1.7 million user sessions per month. Working on a new version that should be ready in a few days. 🦃

Curious how long people wait on average to make the switch to a Windows 10 update like Fall Creators Update.
Interesting to find that fewer than 10% of Code Writer users are actually on v3.x right now (which requires Fall Creators Update).

New document context menu options are rolling out in a new build now. Also fixed a custom character encoding bug.

We clicked the deploy to Store button! Look for v3.0 as soon as Microsoft certifies and publishes it, hopefully in the next few hours.
