so basically you can spend like $50,000 to locally run an AI model that is 70% as good as the top models from labs or you can spend $200 a month ($2,400 a year) for GPT and claude subs (it would take 20 years to pay off the local model and by then it wont even be usable, we will probably be on organoids lol)

One annoying OpenClaw Discord failure started with a copy-paste mistake: a wrong value from the Discord Developer Portal could look token-like enough to paste, then fail later at runtime. ClawCloud now blocks obvious bad credentials earlier and clears the warning as soon as Discord reconnects.

If your OpenClaw Discord bot fails with `Failed to resolve Discord application id`, the path is clearer now: 1. stricter token validation before deploy 2. degraded status for active auth failure 3. warning clears on later client init Write-up: clawcloud.sh/blog/openclaw-d…

OpenClaw instances using a Discord channel now have a system-wide check for unhealthy channel connections via ClawCloud.sh.

Threads has become one of my favorite user acquisition channels right after SEO. My recent post got almost 230k views and tons of engagement. This is what I am looking for in a social network as a small-business owner. I do not mind contributing valuable content if the platform works! Unfortunately, this is not the case for X or Facebook Pages.

ClawCloud now supports OpenClaw v2026.4.14. This is a big deal for us because most of the April release for OpenClaw were roller coasters. Especially for the Claude Code setup. Now everything seems to be stabilizing.

Ai is coming for us all. This image is fate of most companies in the Ai era.

Opus 4.7 costs 7.5x and Opus 4.6 costs 3x in Copilot requests. Just wow. The question is does Opus 4.7 2x better than Opus 4.6?

Managed hosting for OpenClaw was supposed to remove setup friction. It did. But it left SSH in place — and that's the wall most non-developers hit. So we added Windows cloud servers. RDP desktop. OpenClaw is already running. No terminal.

Everyone offering free models "asks" (often implicitly) something in return. It is either your time, because most of the time these models just do not work, or it is your data (often they are used for training purposes).

What makes the best AI writing assistant for daily work? I do not think it is just model quality. It is whether the assistant sits in the same place you already talked, keeps context, and can surface the follow-up you forgot two days later. That is the interesting part of OpenClaw in Telegram or Discord. It feels less like visiting a tool and more like keeping help inside the thread where the work showed up.

I put together a use case on OpenClaw as an AI work assistant: what it handles well, where it stops, and why it can be more useful than a browser AI tab if your workday already happens in chat. clawcloud.sh/use-cases/openc…

With what Gemma 4 can achieve, I am seriously considering hosting the best open model (for a given time frame) on a performant VM and providing "almost" free AI access for agentic use in OpenClaw. AI API costs are one of the biggest constraints for people who want to use personal AI agents and keep costs under control. But for this to happen, the mode needs to be very good for agentic use cases. And from how it looks, Gemma 4 promises exactly this.

Two months since I published my SaaS, which has been profitable since day 1. I had my first customer within 24 hours of release. I released the first version in just 8 hours using GitHub Copilot with Claude Sonnet (70%) and Claude Opus (30%). I learned a lot from my early customers and their support requests. And finally, it is time to apply these learnings to something new. I will continue supporting this project, but learning shows that customers want something simpler and more generic.

Going through every step in Developer Onboarding for @DevKit4ai Currently, dev account verifications are private. I want to fine-tune the process to its bare minimum and open up public developer registrations. Once started, developers will have a local checklist.
