It’s telling that Humble Bundle has stopped including Packt in the title on those bundles.

Claude and Opus is just so much better than Codex. 1m context window and the type of responses make it the clear winner. Codex seems to always be going on tangents and crazy adventures.

When I was very young I would play GTA on PS1 and had no idea it was the same game when I played San Andreas years later.
It’s been 25 years of morons screeching “we need gta in (enter a city that’s not in America)” and completely missing the point that GTA outside of America just wouldn’t work

Game development really seems like the team is filled with the kind of dev that other teams try to avoid. Simply adding features to have them while the core product loses quality.
Red Dead 2 is so detailed that even troughs will empty out of water when shot if they are pierced by a bullet or arrow This is why RDR2 remains unrivaled as the greatest and most fun open world game ever made.

Yubikey has been pretty good for being able to leave my phone and still have MFA. Biggest issue I have with codes is I try not to bring my phone but end up needing it every 10 minutes for a different service.

Interesting that LinkedIn is now promoting “new hires” as a metric in their emails rather than available jobs or applicants.

People say “oh I’m sorry” when I tell them I have to work on trips but I don’t know why. I love what I do and am so lucky to have the ability to take my work with me.

Kind of glad that I got it out of my system by 25. So many people especially “digital nomads” just seemed to be running from life.

Working for a cool company makes life so much better.

Flying is much more pleasant now than in the past. Controversial I know but WiFi and better drinks service goes a long way.

I suspect the problem people are having is these tools are great for your own projects on auto mode but code review is what slows them down when using it at work.
Maybe I’m dumb but isn’t this just an argument for … writing your own unit tests? Or at the very least _closely_ supervising your clanker when it writes your tests? You don’t HAVE to have ai do everything, right?

You should replace "Chop Wood, Carry Water" in your mind with: "Do Laundry, Wash Dishes". The most zen state of mind of course being "Make a toddler a sandwich that they requested then don't eat".

Just noticed they removed the ! after "what's happening" in the post input.

Every weekend our neighbor has like 15 people parked out the front of their place. Never a wild party going on but how long until we invite ourselves over for it?
