Need to partition and format a flash drive: Windows - "Yeah I can partition but can't format." ChromeOS - "What USB drive, nothing to see here." gparted on Linux - "Yeah I'll do whatever the fuck you want, just make sure you know what you're doing." Things shouldn't be this hard.

In movies and shows, I often hear one character say to another "Sweep the north side of the building." or "Meet me on the east side of the parking lot." They do this without a compass. Honest question. Is there anyone who knows where geographic north is, when in a strange place?

It's more than just that. There's a genuine skill that is being developed in writing prompts for large language models to provide satisfactory results. I can imagine a future where there are job titles such as "AI communications specialist".

I'm now a firm republican. Nothing to do with who is right or wrong in this familial spat. I'm just tired of it dominating the conversation, when we have more important things to worry about. Let's just de-fund them, impose proper inheritance tax, and elect a head of state.

I get that @RishiSunak wants us all to emulate his success, and that's why everyone should study maths until they're 18. I think what would be more useful though, would be lessons in how to marry an heir of a multi-billion dollar fortune, so we could all follow in his footsteps
