Feeling inspired by another post that the awesome @ExWarrior_ put out talking about casting, Where am I at with casting rn? YA BOY HAS BEEN AFK. Ever since I started casting back in 2018 (uncπŸ‘΄) it's always been something I've loved but it's always been alongside me having a full-time job. It got in the way, it stopped me from being able to form a full time casting partner and it did hold me back...BUT it never stopped me from wanting to do it. Since my last event (Shanghai RMR's 2024) I basically fully locked in on pushing my job to become something that I LOVED doing, getting to a position that I'm super happy with and still being involved with gaming and esports as part of that, but that meant that I had to make a choice of taking a bit of step back from yapping on the mic. So I did that, working with @Twitch is sick and that needs to be my focus, but that doesn't mean that I don't want to cast, it just means that I can't really put myself out there for opportunities and market myself the way that I would have if I was full time or just had something that was getting me by. There's other things that I'm finding interest in rn (Shoutout @CupofTCG) and when I was casting alongside working & hunting for those next few events, anything extra was something that I just had to give up. I don't think I'll ever officially hang up the mic, I'll always be down to grab a headset and yap away on broadcast, CS or something else, IDC what. But it's not something that I can just drop everything to do and commit to anymore. And if that means that events stop coming like they did in 2025 then that's fine. It's a choice I've made and I can live with that. Not many people can say that they got the chance to do in-studio work as part of the CS major cycle, but I can say that and if my final few events are those then I can happily look back and say I succeeded, GGWP. But if someone comes knocking, asking if I want to join for a broadcast, you've lost your mind if you think I'm not gonna make it work. TLDR: Locked in at work and that became my hard focus, feel like I'm smashing that. Always happy to hop back on the mic but not reaching out to find new work, if you want me involved hit me up ❀️
