1️⃣ Enable 2-step verification or upgrade it.
📱 SMS is better than nothing, but a dedicated authenticator app or security key is significantly stronger.
Go to Settings → Security → 2-Step Verification to update yours.
2️⃣ Use a unique, strong password.
🔑 If your email and Coinbase passwords are the same, change one of them today. A password manager makes this simple and removes the need to memorize everything.
3️⃣ Watch out for phishing scams.
🔎 Coinbase will never ask for your password, seed phrase, or 2FA code. If anyone claiming to be Coinbase Support asks for this information, it's a scam, report it immediately.

🪪 Accepted documents: passport, driver’s license, or a national ID card. Make sure it’s not expired, that’s a common reason for verifications failing.
2️⃣ When taking your ID photo, lighting matters more than you think.
💡Try to have: Bright, even lighting. Use a flat surface with no glare, and all four corners of the ID visible.
3️⃣ The selfie step is equally important.
📸 Face the camera straight on in even lighting. Skip sunglasses or hats, but if you wore glasses in your ID photo, keep them on for your selfie. Coinbase compares the two images, so consistency helps.

1️⃣ Every crypto asset withdrawal gets a TxID (transaction hash), you can check your transaction status on a blockchain explorer.
2️⃣ Verify the withdrawal address and network is correct.
Make sure the receiving wallet supports the asset and network you sent on. Sending on the wrong network can result in funds not appearing, and in some cases funds sent to unsupported networks may not be recoverable.
Double-check before you send.
3️⃣ Check for any known issues at status.coinbase.com
We post real-time updates there if any withdrawal processing is delayed on our end. It’s the fastest way to know if something’s affecting your asset specifically.

The crypto market structure bill has PASSED the Senate Banking Committee with a bi-partisan vote!
Historic day for crypto and for the future of digital assets in America. Grateful for the countless hours from lawmakers and staff to strengthen this legislation.
