We beat the best teams, not the best team! First international tournament of the year. Keeping the same 10 players/staff means you have experience traveling and competing together. Busy 2025/26 so far: LOIO Paris, LEC Evry, MSI Vancouver, EWC Riyadh, LEC Madrid, Worlds Tianjin/Beijing/Shanghai, LOIO Munich, LEC Barcelona. Each trip was an adventure with specific challenges. Sao Paulo showed us that we are getting better at adapting our processes and attitude, so we can be in top form during those intense events. For First stand, the daily schedule was really different than the classic rhythm, with early start of days forcing more discipline than usual. Props to Isma for his work over the last years, helping us to better navigate the "energy and health" topic. We learnt from Worlds quarters the basics of how to behave on those intense games with high external pressure, when it's "elimination or glory" time. We approached BFX and GENG in a better mental space, remaining sharper during those days. What a crazy feeling to eliminate the whole Korean region in 24h with a double 3-0. The final against BLG was a fun one. At least we showed up and we were not shadows of ourselves like our last BO against them. I think we did a great job. We had no major failure like we usually have when we lose those big games. We were present and focused. The drafts were good puzzles. The gameplay was proactive and we were making plans on comms. The decisions were reasonable under pressure. We won the first game! They just did everything a tiny bit better. Not crazy better, "just" enough to kill our nexus 3x times. We did our best - not enough yet. We got beaten but not outclassed. It felt like it was doable. Hope, a strong and forgotten feeling! 17.04.2013 The beginning. I was still in high school, about to go on the craziest journey of my life. I was recently retired from professional swimming and found myself being more and more drawn to competitive League of Legends, wanting to find that one thing that would replace the void that lack of competition had in my life. I remember when I started the only goal I had was to compete and do everything I can to match and outlast the legends of those times, the likes of Darien, Wickd, sOAZ, Zorozero and many others. I wanted to be the best in EU. I wanted to be the best in the world. That's the only thing I wanted, to just play League of Legends and be good at it. I have achieved many goals. I have failed even more. I hope with time I will look back at this period of time and find more happiness than regret. I hope I will never forget my last competitive game, even though it was one of my worst ones, because it was never about winning or losing, it was about being in competition. After 12 years, 25.000 games, and 700 competitive games, it's time for me to find a new area to compete and struggle in. Somewhere new to have something to prove, someone to outlast and someone to be better than. This year, coming out of possibly the worst year of my career, I found a new passion in being part of the Analyst Desk (and casting) for the broadcast. I found a passion in coaching, passing along all the knowledge I have so that other players don't have to go through the same failures and learnings I had to do by myself, so that they can get better than I ever was. Being able to do the broadcast, all the while being : • Assistant coach for Los Ratones • Positional coach for VKS • Positional coach for G2 at various points and throughout this year has been a huge deciding factor for me and gave me a glimpse at how those areas would be looking like in the future for me. For everyone who followed me at any point in the past 12 years, I hope I made your passion for League and your love for esports just a little bit stronger, and I hope I will get to do it just for a little bit more.
