Congratulations to my former Hutchinson Community College teammate Tristan on getting his eligibility restored. His outcome gives hope to many of us still waiting for our futures to be decided. Every day that passes is another day athletes affected by the NCAA v. Pavia JUCO eligibility case remain in limbo. We have trained, sacrificed, and done everything asked of us. Now we're simply asking for a timely decision and fair treatment. I'm ready to play, ready to contribute, and open to any opportunity this season. Athletes trapped in limbo. On February 10, former JUCO players stepped into court in the Pavia eligibility case against the NCAA, fighting for one more year of eligibility. Nearly four months later, as we head into June, there is still no ruling. No victory. No defeat. Just silence. On May 18, the plaintiffs filed a status report highlighting the growing urgency. Reporting dates are here. Scholarships are vanishing. Teams are moving on. Still… nothing. This isn’t about whether you agree with their case or not. It’s about dozens of athletes waking up every morning believing, “Today could finally be the day.” That tiny sliver of hope is powerful enough to paralyze them. They can’t fully move on. They can’t plan their future. They can’t let go of the dream they’ve spent their entire lives chasing. Because what if the ruling drops tomorrow? So they wait… while teammates start fall training, while opportunities quietly close around them.
