Well as the festival winds down I ask myself why didn't I do this 25 years ago? Probably because it would have been as miserable back then as now. Only highlight was the Wildhearts and that was a half hour set. So many middle of the road acts and over the hill acts. Meh.
Finally a day to chill at Download festival. Keanu Reeve's is on, they're ok. I'm half cut. Looking forward to Pretty Reckless and Linkin Park later. Rock and roll.
It's absolutely pissing it down on the way to Download. It wouldn't be a festival without the misery of trying to erect a new tent in a field whilst drenched. At least it's not a 20 minute walk from the carpark to the camping area either. Rock and roll!
I had these chips from my local chippy yesterday at 3pm. The pic doesn't do it justice, there were 3 platefuls for £1.80. I still cannot move today at 11am. Proper portions, none of that 10 chips down at the seaside bollocks. Happy Friday!
Just found a file from an unfinished project I started in 2007! Here is a compilation of the worst jokes ever put into an adventure game for your viewing (dis)pleasure. I thought my dad jokes were bad! You have been warned! #sierra#policequest#pq4#retrogaming#badjokes
Off to see the Backrooms movie tonight. Kane Parsons has done a fantastic job as a YouTube movie creator, mature beyond his years so looking forward to this. That said, I didn't sleep well last night so will probably sleep through half of it.
I came across the Bricks & Minifigs controversy yesterday. What a scummy company. But it's been a thrilling adventure watching a young guy go after a big company for justice. It's got suspicious cop responses, lies and deceit, anger, optimism and everything in-between. I'm hooked
Choo-choo Thomas! Here's an edited version of my infamous review from 2007. It's Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends on the #zxspectrum and it's absolutely terrible!!

Well after yesterday's drinking adventure I am officially hung over and now have to sober up as the missus' family are coming over and I'm not in a state to drive home and escape. Bah. I also discovered I'm worse at darts than I remember. I did hit the board mostly though!
So I met a WWII veteran in the last social pub. The place was empty. I made it my mission to make sure he was spoken to and acknowledged. We spent the last half hour badly singing along to Johnny Cash & Neil Diamond. I was almost in tears. FFS give people the time of day.
My last stop on my mini #barcrawl was scary. A social member's club where the drinks are half price but it's empty on a Friday night. Staff say 5pm is their busy time. Wtf. Guys the pub and club industry is fucked. Support your local boozers. Fuck the supermarkets.
Proper Job IPA the missus' choice. A very meh Cornwall beer. That said these heavy beers I've been drinking take their toll. It's great to try proper beers and not gassy lagers. Support proper breweries before they're gone forever. #pubs#realale
Nelson's Revenge, a strong bitter from Woodforde's brewery in Norfolk. 4.5%. Some citrus notes in this beer. Drinkable but not overly noteworthy. Definitely could do a couple of these in an evening 7/10 #pubcrawl
My quest for a decent pint has stopped short coming to an absolute dive of a pub. It's like Wetherspoons on a budget. Two cocktails for £15. Pints are standard fare. Urgh. One more then off to the last traditional boozer in town.
I always try a beer I've never had before when I go on a rare pub outing. I think you should allow yourself to experience something new. Same way I'll order something different at a restaurant. I understand sticking to what you know, but why miss out on maybe your next fav thing?
Next beer, Milestone's Honey Porter, 4.9%. The burnt hops taste isn't for everyone, it tastes a little bit like medicine. Goes down well enough, 6/10. Gf's beer is apparently a day from going off, has a slight sour taste. I'm learning everyday.
Next beer, Gulp 4.8%. A Pilsner. Immediate smell of toilet water or ammonia. My gf (worked in the industry for years) says the pub has served it before it's ready. Tastes ok, Pilsners are an easy option, but a shame. 6/10 #pubcrawl
Having a mini pub crawl today. Had a nice pint called Scoundrel (with Terry Thomas's mug on it), followed by Old Brown Mouse by Three Blind Mice brewery. A lovely amber bitter. Has a nice subtle sweet taste. My taste buds have definitely changed. 8/10
