Hall & staircase completed today in the Redhall area of #Edinburgh . Woodchip on ceiling & walls. All stripped & 1400 grade lining paper put up. Ceilings white & Crown Sketchpad on walls (Johnstones trade). All woodwork white satin. #painting #decorating #paintinganddecoraring

Newly installed fire and oak mantelpiece in this sitting room in the Paisley area of Wilowbrae #Edinburgh . Chimney stripped, prep & lined with 1400 lining. Ceiling/coving x2 coats white matt, walls x2 coats Dulux Rock Salt. U/C & white satin woodwork. #paintinganddecorating

Kitchen / Dining room completed in the Colinton area of #Edinburgh. Ceiling / coving white matt, all walls prep, mist coated new plaster & x2 coats Craig & Rose matt (Royal Circus). Woodwork prep, u/c & white satin finish. #painting #decorating #paintinganddecorating

Front door in Blackhall area of #Edinburgh stripped & sanded down using the @MirkaUK dustless system, primed, filled, undercoated & x2 Satin finish (Colour Leyland Hidden Glade). Front door surround prepared & x2 coats white satin.

Canโt believe Iโve just opened up a new box of 1400 lining paper. Itโs been reduced in width from 22โ - 21โ. When did this happen?
Not a major issue but now doesnโt take up full width of lasting table as thatโs how I noticed.

Donโt normally do quotes over the phone but when someone asks you for a rough price to strip, prep & lining paper a 10x10 ceiling but donโt want you to come round ๐จ. Told them a rough price & she told me another Dec said ยฃ100 ๐ณโฆโฆโฆ.bye ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐

My son Jack 18yrs old today ๐
Its hard to believe that the 1st pic shows Jack born 3 months premature & wired to the mains fighting for survival back in 2005 weighing only 1lb 12oz. But here he is today as a fine young man & now can take his auld man for a pint ๐ป ๐คช
