ios dev friends. does using git worktrees work for you? seems like things always get messed up in my xccode projects when using worktrees. @Dimillian ?
🤖 I've just open-sourced a new set of skills, covering Kotlin, Compose and Android development.
Very early days, but it covers a lot of things which crop up in code review regularly.

I think Dario Amodei is right when he says:
"Coding is going away first, then all of software engineering."
At least in his world at Anthropic.
They tell us they don't write code any more.
Their status page shows us they don't do software engineering.
Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
AVD (Animated Vector Drawables) exist since Android 5.0 - still underused
Devs just don’t know where to get good animated icons
We fixed that
Built together with @romankhrupa

We inherited an agreement where FIFA is providing $0 for transportation to the World Cup.
And while NJ TRANSIT is stuck with a $48 million bill to safely get fans to and from games, FIFA is making $11 billion.
I’m not going to stick New Jersey commuters with that tab for years to come.
FIFA should pay for the rides. But if they don’t – I’m not going to let New Jersey get taken for one.
We're wrapping up our migration to Metro internally for Square Android. I summarized some of our challenges and steps we took in a blog post. If you use Dagger 2 for a Kotlin project, then you should migrate to Metro sooner rather than later.

the year 2027. you wake up. ai wasn't invented. just a bad dream. you still craft compose apps for android and ios. life has never been better. job security on lock.
It's interesting how I used to stress over cleaning up every sentence I wrote, and now I'm like, "eh, if something is a little clunky, at least people will know it's me that wrote it instead of AI"
👏If there's any market that needs to be disrupted, it's the printer market.
How many printers are in the landfill because proprietary ink cartridges have been discontinued or are too uneconomical to source?
