Obsession has fired up in Australia as well as the US. Current Aussie box office is $12,770,111. Surged 91% in second weekend and a further 68% in third weekend as word-of-mouth kicked in. Screen count upped from 155 to 233 nationally.

This is why I worry about The Odyssey - Christopher Nolan has said that his favourite film of 2024 was Gladiator 2. Say what? That movie was rubbish. When I see The Odyssey trailers I think Nolan might be using G2 as a template. Yikes!

Will be interesting to see if Channel 10âs strategy of having so many international versions of The Traitors on its streaming service - Ireland just added - helps give the rebooted Aussie series with Gretel Killeen a ratings boost. Canât hurt I suppose.

Iâm baffled. Brenton Thwaitesâ and Phoebe Tonkinâs new romantic Aussie drama is centred on the their characters having eight dates (with one date per episode) to see if they match. Eight Dates would be the logical title but Paramount has given it the generic Two Years Later. đ¤
