The last thing Iβll say on this classism discussion in Ghana: there are people who have held wealth and influence for centuries. They have the power to change the circumstances of this country. Neocolonialism is a factor, sure and our politicians are largely useless.

This is an absolute FACT. It's only the last few years that I have been spending time in Accra. When I am in Accra I rarely have to speak Twi (could also be that its got more non Twi speakers there,too). When I am in Kumasi, it's a must. Kumasi, hold speaking local dialect with pride.

Itβs literally Kumasi that hold Twi up highhhh, Accra is alright generally but the English is crazy. Twinglish is even a whole movement.
