I don’t like that we are in a position where this is our best hope to improve the WR room. I think that’s basically where I stand on all of this.

Two things from last year that I won’t forget:
#1. How old and slow the defense was.
#2. How horrible the WR room was when McLaurin went down.
They addressed #1.
But #2 is still a glaring issue, and I won’t let summer highlights of cool catches make me forget it. They HAVE to add more to the WR room.

My thoughts on the ‘26 schedule (was out of town last week).
Pros:
•Week 7 BYE.
• 2 home games coming out of the BYE.
•Not backloaded with division games.
• Positive net rest advantage, unlike previous years.
Cons:
• Two straight road Div games to start.
• lopsided distribution of road games to start the season.

I’m not surprised that Washington hasn’t re-signed him, but I am surprised that no other team has shown serious interest. Was fairly productive last year given the QB situation. I’d take him back in a heartbeat.

Antonio Williams entered the 2025 season with far more promise than he carried out of it. Injuries, drops, and bad Klubnik passes hurt his stock. Overall good route runner, and should compete for that #2 spot. Hopefully 3rd time is charm for AP’s 3rd mid round WR pick.

Sonny Styles is much more of a shot at a blue chip player than it is filling a need. WR is a need, offensive firepower is a need. Good franchises don’t skip on blue chip players. It’s easier to find a WR2 than it is a game changing LB. Oh and he also fills a need.

It’s easy to look at the roster and point to WR. But they haven’t forgotten what teams like Detroit, Seattle, and countless others did to this defense last year. I understand where their thought process is.

I think many expected a weapon for Jayden. Nonetheless, Sonny Styles is a true talent on defense. Styles was Daniel Jeremiah’s 3rd overall player, and they got him at 7. Great value.

I like the new uniforms a lot. Kept it simple, slick, and it looks the part. One step closer to bringing the full imagery back. I don’t think the old logo is dead, but they have to take baby steps to get there. The spear is a step.

Continuing with the theme that myself and many others predicted. Rely on your two high draft picks (Sainristil, Amos) and fill the rest of the CB room with high floor, low ceiling vets.
