UPDATE: Metrorail and Metromover service has resumed and is operating on a normal schedule. However, all trains will continue to bypass Government Center Station until further notice. A bus bridge is in place between Overtown and Brickell stations for Metrorail passengers.

Last month the BCC unanimously approved our item to reduce the administration's proposed rate increase to water & sewer. We’ve been working with WASD to reduce costs & streamline projects, that work took us from a 6% proposed increase to a 4%, but I believe we can do better.

#CommitteeMinute: On Wednesday, June 25, Appropriations Committee Chair @CommishRR and Government Efficiency and Transparency Ad Hoc Committee Chair @commishbermudez held a joint meeting. The committee chairs discuss preparations for #OurCounty’s upcoming budget meeting.

In honor of Autism Awareness Day, I joined @CommishRR and other elected officials to announce Neuro-Inclusive County Services Days - a step toward greater accessibility and inclusion. We remain committed to the safety of our neurodiverse residents by continuing to enroll families in the Occupant with Autism Program. This initiative alerts emergency responders when a person with autism is present in a home or vehicle, ensuring interactions are handled with care and understanding. #WorldAutismAwarenessDay
