Excited that the item to open the Miami Center for Mental Health and Recovery is finally heading to the BCC. It's the plan I've championed for years, including independent Jackson Health reviews, BHAB oversight, and protections for core County services. Congrats #JudgeLeifman

Good figures here on spending growth in the general fund in Miami-Dade (and payroll). @CommishRR said staff reductions are coming as county tries to balance its 2026 budget.
Commish @CommishRR on Miam-Dade's prior flush budgets: "Our residents have tightened their belts. It’s time we tighten our belts. A lot of the things created during the pandemic must die."
"Commissioner Regalado has consistently demonstrated fiscal responsibility, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to serving our residents. I am pleased to appoint her as Chair of the Appropriations Committee, where her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our county’s resources are allocated effectively."

In honor of Autism Awareness Day, I joined @CommishRR and other elected officials to announce Neuro-Inclusive County Services Days - a step toward greater accessibility and inclusion. This initiative alerts emergency responders when a person with autism is present in a home or vehicle, ensuring interactions are handled with care and understanding. #WorldAutismAwarenessDay
