A quick process from 0 to 90— made infinitely easier by @GrantWahl himself. We workshopped names, visual directions and more before honing in on an "analog meets contemporary" vision that used loud (but soccer-adjacent) colors to cut through the noise on small screens.

We actually took inspiration from California Surf and LA Aztecs of old and tried to weave their identities into this in a subtle way. We had originally considered a full Surf/Aztecs brand update, but it was decided to go in a different direction.
We created an identity for professional soccer team California United. From crest to tickets to kits and more, we designed everything with a flexible color system inspired by the incredible diversity of the state of California. #brandingdesign#identitydesign#footballdesign
