The Department of Health has confirmed to me that they have written off the following, after 'chargeable overseas visitors' have not paid for their NHS treatment. 2020/21 - £46,000,000 2021/22 - £36,000,000 2022/23 - £37,000,000 Far more is outstanding, this is just written off. The British taxpayer is being taken advantage of, again and again. The NHS needs to do far more to ensure that foreign visitors using the health service are properly and fully paying for it.

A few days ago, we said the media would bury this story because it didn’t suit their narrative. Buried the story with no updates on Fr Paul Murphy’s condition. The same thing happened when a migrant stabbed a child in Dublin last November. If the alleged attackers were Irish, it’s be front page news for weeks.

Three homeless Veterans have contacted us today. One directed to us by the council, another from a veterans charity and one other a self referral. One has been given a bedsit flat, another a local hotel and the third case is still on going. Quite a challenging stressful day.

Our police are constantly under threat of violence. Manchester is the third most dangerous place in the country (behind Westminster and Camden) with an overall crime rate of 172.6 crimes per 1000 people. Police should have a right to neutralise violent thugs without facing further threats to themselves or their colleagues. Weak men create hard times. Weak police create lawlessness.

We have housed a street homeless veteran tonight referred to us from Probation. What a week it’s been, side by side with local veterans fighting battles together. The pressure has been well & truly on but our team dug deep. Thank you to everyone that supports The Block.

We are currently working on a case with probation services involving a homeless Ex-Army veteran of the Coldstream guards. Having access to multiple services through our list of stakeholders is now key to a successful outcome for his accommodation and support pathway.
