Hospitals in the #northwest have very rudimentary safety, security and emergency management protocols. As we see with the recent murder of an unarmed security guard @OurLegacyHealth who was completely defenseless (by policy) against an armed assailant.

We teach people how to recognize risk behaviors that lead a person to commit violence, intervention strategies to lead a person away from violence before a tragedy occurs and give people the confidence and courage to initiate those interventions. The killing tool is not to blame.
